Cylinder Big Evolution
The new Polini cylinder kits Big Evolution for Minarelli and Piaggio engines will be available in three capacity classes.- 47.6mm bore / original stroke = 70cc
- 52mm bore / original stroke = 84cc
- 52mm bore / 44mm stroke = 94cc
In order to install these three versions, the crankcase will have to be opened up to accept the cylinder. For the 44 mm stroke version, material will also have to be removed in the area around the crank webs. Furthermore, a crankshaft with 85 mm conrod will have to be used. The price of the cylinder will be around 350 euros, which is roughly what you pay for other cylinders in this segment, too.
Exhaust Big Evolution
Polini Motori are also expanding their exhaust system range to include the new Big Evolution, which has been developed specifically to complement the new Big Evolution cylinders. Installing the Torsen WD swingarm is no problem with this pipe. To significantly change the engine characteristics, the stinger can be replaced.The pipe will be available for horizontal, water-cooled Minarelli and Piaggio engines and is supposed to give good performance, especially when used in conjunction with the Big Evolution kits. Just like the cylinders, the exhaust systems will also cost around 350 euros.
