There are many kinds of big scooter races held in Europe, Japan … every year.
Not only the famous Stage6 Cup series, but also the endurance races with several
riders working together. A 24-hours scooter race was held on the HARZ-RING in Germany on the weekend of 23rd and 24th August 2008. Taiwanese rider Chung Hsuen Wu also took part in the race; the race was really fascinating. The Stage6 Cup was held in Germany. Everyone was looking forward to the results of the races and especially the ones of the last race. And the 24-hours race also took place. International 24-hours scooter races are held twice every year, one of them in Germany. This year’s race on the HARZ-Ring in Germany started at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on August 23th and ended at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on August 24th. There are riders from different countries taking part. It is really like a big party!

One rule of this international race is that the team should consist of 4 - 6 riders; they can be from different countries. Every rider should be on the race track for one hour at least once and ride once every 4 hours. And before riding, the rider has to wait for one hour. If a rider gets hurt, a team mate should replace him immediately. So the whole race is not only about testing the competitors’ riding skills, but also their patience, strength and willpower. The HARZ-RING 24-hours race is for scooters and small bikes. There are 2-stroke and 4-stroke scooter races as well as 2-stroke and 4-stroke bike races.
Taiwanese rider Chung Hsuen Wu was invited by the international Stage6 team; he took part in the race and worked together with two German riders, one Italian rider and one Japanese rider. They rode a YAMAHA JOG SW [in Germany: Yamaha JOG RR / MBK MachG LC] with 12-inch wheels. Mr Chung Hsuen Wu was the fourth rider and the one to finish the race. Together the riders have become the champions of the 70cc-class for two-stroke scoots (S3) at the HARZ-RING 24-hours race and have also grabbed the third position overall.
